IIM Bodh Gaya PhD Admission 2024 in Management – Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bodh Gaya is inviting applications for admission to the PhD in Management Program for the academic year 2024-25. The PhD program at IIM Bodh Gaya aims to admit individuals with exceptional academic backgrounds, strong motivation, discipline, and the potential to become excellent researchers at the international level. It is expected that research students will come from a variety of disciplines, ranging from social sciences and humanities to physical sciences and engineering.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for IIM Bodh Gaya’s doctoral program must meet one of the following qualifications:
- Master’s degree in any discipline, with at least 60 percent marks or equivalent grade point average.
- Professional qualifications like CA, ICWA, CS with at least 60 percent marks or equivalent grade point average.
- Five year/four year Integrated Master’s degree program in any discipline, with at least 60 percent marks, obtained after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.
- Four Year/Eight Semester Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech./ B. Arch.) with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 out of 10 or equivalent.
Candidates appearing for their final year examination in the current academic year may also apply.
The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate would be calculated based on the practice followed by the respective University/Institution. In case of grades/CGPA, the conversion to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure certified by the respective University/institution.
Age Limit: Candidates must not be more than 40 years old as of 1st June 2024.
Nationality: Admission to the program is open to overseas candidates including NRIs and foreign nationals.
Application Process
Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website http://iimbg.ac.in/ & http://iimbg.ac.in/phd. We encourage SC, ST, NC-OBC, PwD, EWS, and women candidates to apply for the program. Applicants are required to pay the application fee online and upload a copy of the relevant document at the time of applying.

Application Fee:
- For General Candidates: Rs. 500/- per area
- For SC, ST, PwD, and women candidates: Rs. 250/- per area
Mode of Payment: Online through Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking.
Selection Procedure
Candidates can apply with either CAT (2021/2022/2023) or GRE/GMAT/GATE/JRF(UGC/CSIR) scores, provided that the date of examination is on or after 1st July 2021 and the score/result remains valid on or after 1st January 2024.
Shortlisting for the final selection process, which includes Personal Interview & Research Aptitude, will be based on various factors such as performance in the qualifying exam, academic background, professional accomplishments, research interest, etc.
Personal Interview:
- Shortlisted candidates will be required to appear for a personal interview at IIM Bodh Gaya in front of the selection panel.
- The PI process will consist of two stages.
- The first stage is qualifying in nature. Candidates who qualify in the first stage will proceed to the second stage.
- In the second stage, the selection panel will assess candidates’ suitability for research work based on their portfolio, including academic record, professional accomplishments, research interest, research aptitude, etc.
