IGRUA 2026 – Exam Dates, Application Form, Syllabus

The IGRUA 2026 examination, conducted by IGRUA, is set for the designated exam date. It is conducted by Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi for admission to B.Sc. (Aviation), CPL in IGRUA. The IGRUA entrance exam is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the institute to select candidates for the CPL program.

IGRUA CPL Important Dates

Eligibility

• Must have passed English, Maths & Physics with minimum 50% marks at 10+2 or equivalent in individual subjects.
• Must have passed English, Maths & Physics with minimum 45% marks at 10+2 or equivalent in individual subjects.

For Aircraft Maintenance Engineering:

General Candidates: Must have passed Mathematics and Physics with a minimum of 50% marks at 12th grade or equivalent in individual subjects.

SC / ST / EWS/OBC Candidates (In Non-Creamy Layer): Must have passed Mathematics and Physics with a minimum of 45% marks at 12th grade or equivalent in individual subjects.

Training fee: The fee charged is INR 4.5 Lakh payable in three installments over three years. There is no other subsidy or relaxation in the training fee available to any candidate, including SC, ST, OBC, and EWS.

Food & Lodging: IGRUA is a fully residential institute with separate Hostels for Boys and Girls. Charges for Food and Lodging are approximately Rs. 10,000/- per month.

Age limit: Minimum age of 17 years at the time of joining.

For Commercial Pilot License (CPL):

Age limit: 17 years & above at the time of joining.

General Candidates: Must have passed English, Maths & Physics with a minimum of 50% marks at 10+2 or equivalent in individual subjects.

SC / ST / EWS/OBC Candidates (in Non-Creamy Layer): Must have passed English, Maths & Physics with a minimum of 45% marks at 10+2 or equivalent in individual subjects.

Marital Status: Single/UNMARRIED.

Minimum height: 158 cm.

Maximum age: General Candidates 28 years, OBC 31 years, and 33 years for SC/ST candidates (as per GoI Rules) on the last date of application.

Note:

i) In case SC/ST/EWS and OBC candidates do not qualify even after a 5% relaxation in the Entrance Written test, the seats would be de-reserved for General Category.

ii) Candidates can also opt for B.Sc. (Aviation) Degree, conducted simultaneously with CPL Course. The duration of this course will be 03 years.

iii) Candidates awaiting results for the 2026 Class 12 Examination can also apply, but they must produce pass results with requisite marks in the subjects mentioned in para3 above, at the time of Interview/Aptitude Test.

iv) IGRUA has a tie-up with FSTC for Type training on (A320/B737/ATR-72/Q-400) at their Gurugram or Hyderabad centers. Candidates wishing to undergo this particular training must indicate the same at the time of filling up the form for the entrance exam.

Medical:

Candidates must be at least 158 cm in height. Selected candidates may join with class II medical, however, they will have to clear & submit Class-I Medical Fitness Certificate subsequently.

Training Fee

i) Rs. 45 Lacs payable in four quarterly installments in one year.
Additional expenditure for about Rs. 2 Lac towards cost of Uniform, Navigation Computer, Head Phones, Training Material etc. The training fee and other expenditure is same for all category candidates. ii) Candidates, who opt for CPL with Type Training on aircraft mentioned above will have to pay the following additional fee for Type Training to FSTC directly –

a) A320 or B737 – Rs. 17.00 Lakhs
b) ATR -72 or Q-400 – Rs. 19.00 Lakhs

Application Fee :

• For AME Course:  Rs. 2,000/- (for General, OBC and EWS candidates)
• For CPL Course:  Rs. 12,000 (for General, OBC and EWS candidates)
• Mode of Payment : Online through internet banking, debit or credit cards

IGRUA Application Form

• IGRUA releases the IGRUA EE application form at igrua.gov.in.
• Students should fill and submit the IGRUA EE online application form before the last date.

How To Apply

Candidates applying for entrance Examination in IGRUA 2026 required to apply online
ONLY through the official website http://igrua.gov.in/

Before filling up Online Application, the Candidate must be ready with following
documents:

• Scanned image of Recent Colored Photograph of candidate (File size of 80KB (maximum) in JPEG format only)
• Scanned Signature of candidate (File size of 80KB (maximum) in JPEG format only)
• Email Id Mobile No.
• Mark sheets Details for 12th Class, Scanned copy of Signatures, Photo, Credit Card / Debit Card / Internet Banking details for payment gateway

A valid E-mail id and Mobile Number is mandatory for the submission of your Online Application. This E-Mail id and Mobile number should be active until declaration of results.

Please note that after submission, the particulars mentioned in the Online Application in each stage will be considered as Final. After the submission of the online application at each stage, candidate will not be able to edit / delete any fields of the Online Application.

Applications received without appropriate Application Fee, required documents & Information as per entrance notification are liable to be rejected.

IGRUA reserves the right to cancel any of the Examination Center and/or add some other cities/centers’ depending upon the response, administrative feasibility or any force-majeure conditions etc.

• ONLINE Computer Based Test, and Viva/Interview in the following manner:-
• Written Test : At allotted centers publish on official page.
• Examination Centers : Please check Options for centers. Option for three centers is to be made giving first, second and third choice.
• IGRUA reserves the right to cancel any Center if numbers of Applicants for the Center are inadequate.

CPL 

• ONLINE Computer Based Entrance Test, Viva/Interview and Pilot Aptitude Test in the following manner:-
• Online Computer Based Entrance Test : At allotted centres publish on offical web site.
• Examination Centers : Please check Options for centres Option for three centers is to be made giving first, second and third choice. IGRUA reserves the right to cancel any Center if numbers of Applicants for the Center are inadequate.

IGRUA Syllabus

• AME: General English, Maths, Physics, Reasoning & Current Affairs (10+2 level objective type questions only and No negative marking)
• CPL: General English, Maths, Physics, Reasoning & Current Affairs (10+2 level objective type questions only and No negative marking )

Pilot Aptitude Test / Psychometric Test :

• Only successful candidates in Pilot Aptitude / Psychometric Test shall qualify for final selection.
• No relaxation criteria will be applicable for SC/ST/EWS/OBC Candidates in Pilot Aptitude/Psychometric Test.
