Aspiring individuals aiming to become Certified Management Accountants (CMA) must successfully clear the CMA Foundation December 2025 exam. The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) administers this examination, providing entry to eligible and qualified candidates into the CMA course.
To participate in the exam, candidates are required to register with ICMAI. The CMA Foundation exam is conducted biannually, in the months of June and December. ICMAI CMA Foundation Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility is a crucial factor when applying for an examination, and only candidates who meet the following criteria will be allowed to appear in the CMA Foundation 2025 exam:
- The candidate should have passed Class 10 or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board or Institution. OR
- The candidate should have passed the Senior Secondary Examination under the 10+2 scheme of a recognized Board, or an examination recognized by the Central Government as equivalent. Alternatively, the candidate may have passed the National Diploma in Commerce Examination conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education or any State Board of Technical Education under the authority of the said All India Council. Another valid qualification is the Diploma in Rural Service Examination conducted by the National Council of Higher Education.
Candidates who are awaiting their results are eligible to apply for provisional admission. This provision allows candidates to apply for the CMA Foundation 2025 exam even if they are waiting for their results to be declared. It ensures that individuals who meet the eligibility criteria, either through their completed qualifications or those awaiting results, have the opportunity to pursue the CMA Foundation examination.
ICMAI CMA Foundation 2025 Exam Pattern
Following is the exam pattern for CMA Foundation. Candidates are required to study the question paper pattern carefully.
- Mode of examination: M.C.Q Mode through offline OMR based from Centre
- Type of examination: MCQ Mode
- Each paper will carry 100 marks 50 Multiple Choice Questions (Each Question will carry 2 Marks). Each session will be a total of 100 Multiple Choice Questions of 200 marks.
- There is no negative marking.
