HP M.Sc. Nursing 2026 –  Exam Date, Application Form, Eligibility, Syllabus

The Himachal Pradesh Master of Science in Nursing Entrance Test (HP M.Sc. Nursing Entrance Test) is a state-level nursing entrance exam conducted by Atal Medical and Research University (AMRU). The purpose of this exam is to facilitate admission to Government and Private Nursing Colleges in Himachal Pradesh for M.Sc. Nursing programs.

HP M.Sc. Nursing 2026 application form is expected to be released by AMRU in April–May 2026 at amruhp.ac.in

Important Dates (Academic Session 2026–27)

Eligibility Criteria

• Aspiring candidates should have completed B.Sc Nursing/ Post Basic B.Sc Nursing/ B.Sc Hons. Nursing and trained from the recognized Institutions not less than 55% aggregate marks. Or
• Aspiring candidates should be registered as a Registered Nurse/ Midwife (RN/RM) B.Sc/ Post Basic B.Sc Nursing with H.P State Nurses registration council Shimla/ any State Nursing Registration council at the time of counseling. Or  
• Candidates should have at least one year of work experience prior to or after Post Basic B.Sc Nursing and after B.Sc Nursing from the date of registration.

How to Apply

The applicants may apply for M.Sc. Nursing Entrance Test through online Application Form only through the official website of HPU.

The Admission Form is atteched in the Prospectus. The application form should be duly completed in all respects along with attested photocopies of documents is to be submitted personally by the qualified candidates at the time of counselling/ admission.

Exam Pattern

The exam pattern is as follows

• Mode of Exam – The exam  is a Written test.
• Question type – The questions are Objective.
• Number of Questions – There are 150 questions in the entrance exam.
• Total Marks – Maximum marks in the exam is 150.
• Exam Duration – The entrance exam is of 2 hours.
• Language of Question Paper – The question paper is in language English.

Marking Scheme – 

• Candidates get +1 marks for correct answer.
• And negative marks is 0 for incorrect answers

Admit Card / Hall Ticket

The Applicants can download the call letter directly from the university’s official website by filling in their DOB and application number sent through SMS/email. Call letters would not be issued through post.

The candidate should verify all the information in the admit card. If any issue is found, then get it corrected with the concerned authority.

The candidates are required to carry the admit card to the examination hall. Without it, you will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. It is also very important to document for the further admission processes.

Results

The results will be announced on the official website. The selection of the candidates for M.Sc. Nursing course will be on the basis of the merit of the entrance test. The minimum marks required for the selection will be 50% for candidates for General category, 40% for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe categories candidates.

No detail marks cards will be sent to the candidates. The candidates may see their marks in the University website. There will be no re-checking/re-evaluation of the Answer Sheet.
