HP B.Sc. Nursing is a State-level nursing entrance examination organized by AMRU. The primary objective of this exam is to facilitate admission to Government and Private Nursing Colleges in Himachal Pradesh for the B.Sc. Nursing program.

Course
4 years B.Sc. (Nursing) Degree Course (including internship) being run in the college(s)/institution(s) listed in the Prospectus are having the approval of the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi and are affiliated to the Atal Medical and Research University, HP, Ner Chowk, Distt. Mandi HP.
Eligibility
- (i) Female Children of Bonafide Himachali/ Himachal Govt. employees and employees of Autonomous bodies wholly or partially financed by the Himachal Pradesh Government will only be eligible to apply for admission to 4 years B.Sc. Nursing Degree Course (Government Quota) through Entrance Test to be conducted by Atal Medical and Research University, HP, at Ner Chowk, Distt. Mandi, HP
- (ii) For filling up of 50% Management Quota Seats in Private un-aided B.Sc. Nursing Colleges in State of Himachal Pradesh, there will be no requirement of being Himachali Bonafide. Under this quota, both Himachali and Non- Himachali interested candidates can compete in the entrance test subject to fulfillment of minimum educational qualifications and age criteria as prescribed in the prospectus.
- (iii) The age of candidates should be between 17 to 35 years as on 31st, December 2023 i.e. the candidate should be born between 01.01.1989 and 01.01.2007. However, upper age can be relaxed by 5 years in the case of SC/ST candidates i.e. the candidates must have been born between 01.01.1984 and 01.01.2007. Age as recorded in the matriculation certificate will be entertained.
- (iv) Admission to married candidates will be allowed subject to production of medical fitness certificate and candidate can only appear in final examination after 80 % attendance in theory and 100% in practical.
- (v) The candidate should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination from H.P. Board of School Education/AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or any other Board/University established by law in India in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and with 45% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying examination. The candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in qualifying examination will be 40% instead of 45% as stated above. Provided further that English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for being eligible for admission to B.Sc. (Nursing) course. The candidate should be medically fit.
- (vi) The candidates who appeared in 10+2 examination and their result are not yet declared may also apply for this test, but their admission will be made, if they fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria as prescribed in the prospectus at the time of 1st round of counselling.

You can pay application form fee by Online- By Credit/ Debit card or by Net Banking.
Important Notes:
(i) Fee once remitted cannot be refunded under any circumstances; therefore, the candidates may remit the same very cautiously.
(ii) If ineligibility of a candidate is detected at any stage, her admission will be cancelled without any notice.
(iii) Do not send print out of confirmation page of online application form as well as fee receipt to the University, as the same are to be retained by the candidates in future reference safely.
(iv) Candidate(s) is herself responsible for any error or incomplete online application form.
(v) Incomplete online application form is liable to be rejected without any notice.
(vi) Candidature of the candidates will not be accepted if fee is not paid even after the successful submission of application form and issue of registration 14 number.

HP B.Sc. Nursing Exam Pattern
If you will appear in HP B.Sc. Nursing exam, then you should know the mode, important topics, question distribution, marking scheme. This is the HP B.Sc. Nursing Entrance Test exam pattern.
The exam pattern is as follows
- Mode of Exam – The exam is a Written test.
- Question type – The questions are MCQ.
- Number of Questions – There are 100 questions in the entrance exam.
- Total Marks – Maximum marks in the exam is 100.
- Exam Duration – The entrance exam is of 2 hours.
- Language of Question Paper – The question paper is in language English.
Marking Scheme –
- Candidates get +1 marks for correct answer.
- And negative marks is 0 for incorrect answers
HP B.Sc. Nursing Exam Syllabus
The Entrance Test shall consists of one written paper only in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry (including Organic Chemistry), Biology, English and Nursing Aptitude in accordance with the syllabi of studies based on NCERT books of the academic session according to which the 10+2 (includes 11th and 12th classes) examination was conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education in the year of the Entrance Test.
