Hindi University is a public state university located in Howrah, West Bengal, India. It was established in 2019 under The Hindi University Act, 2019 with the aim of promoting Hindi as a medium of instruction for higher education in West Bengal. The university started functioning in 2021 and its first batch commenced classes at Narasingha Dutta College. The permanent university building is still under construction near Kolkata Police Training Camp in Uttar Arupara, Howrah.
