Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have completed a Master’s degree program in the concerned subject with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade.
- A relaxation of 5% marks is allowed for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates.
- Candidates with NET/SLET/GATE/JEST/DBT/INSPIRE/NFST/NFSC/NFOBC/ICHR/ICPR/ICSSR/ICMR qualification are exempted from the entrance test.
- Candidates who have cleared the M.Phil. program with at least 55% marks and Research Methodology as one of the papers are exempted from the entrance test, provided they have been admitted through a qualifying national test like NET, GATE, etc.
- Candidates must complete the Ph.D. course work in the first six months of the program.
- Ph.D. course work is full-time, and candidates who are employed must be duly relieved and provide proof to that effect.
Application Process
- Download the Application Form from the university website and submit the filled-in form with an Original Bank Draft of Rs.1500/- drawn in favor of “The Comptroller of Finance, G. M. University, Sambalpur,” payable at Sambalpur.
- The filled-in Application Form along with required documents should reach the undersigned on or before May 27, 2024, up to 1:00 PM either by post or in person.
Selection Procedure
- Admission into the PhD program is based strictly on merit, with a merit list prepared based on career assessment and interview/viva-voce (70% career assessment + 30% interview/Viva-voce).
- The qualifying mark in the viva voce is 40%.
