Eligibility Criteria

PhD Environmental Science

Master’s Degree from a recognized University (established/approved by UGC) with minimum 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade B in the UGC -7.0 scale (or
an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in the respective subjects Environmental Sciences/ Physical Sciences/Chemical Sciences/Biological Sciences/ /Atmospheric Science/ Meteorology/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Agriculture and the closely related Science discipline.
A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55 to 50 % or an equivalent relaxation of grade may be allowed to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently – abled).
The candidates having qualified UGC-NET (including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/SLET (Uttarakhand only)/GATE/teacher fellowship holder or have passed M.Phil. programs in the respective subject with at least one research publication in refereed journal are exempted from appearing in the entrance test; however, they will be required to appear for Interview.

Ph.D. Media & Communication Studies

The candidates possessing professional degrees such as M. E., and M. Tech., and PG degree in Medicine, Law, Agriculture and similar other professional courses are not eligible for admission to the PhD. programs of the University.
Master’s Degree holders satisfying the qualification criteria stipulated under supra 2 above shall be eligible to appear for CET. However, the candidates who qualify in UGC-NET (including JRF) / UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF) / SLET / SET / GATE, scientists working in DRDO/Faculty of Air Force Administrative College, candidates possessing M.Phil., Degree, holders of teacher fellowship (like FIP and FDP) and candidates of foreign origin possessing prescribed qualifications shall be exempted from appearing for CET.

Master’s Degree in Media & Communication, Mass Communication and Journalism from a recognized University (established/approved by UGC) with minimum 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade B in the UGC -7.0 scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed). A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55 to 50 % or an equivalent relaxation of grade may be allowed to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently – abled).
The candidates who have qualified UGC-NET (including JRF) are exempted from Ph.D. Entrance Test; however, they will be required to appear for Interview. The merit list will be prepared as per the UGC regulations and Doon University PhD ordinance.

Ph.D. Management

Master of Management or M.B.A or PGDM (duly recognized by UGC/ AICTE/AIU equivalent) with minimum 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade B in the UGC -7.0 scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in the respective subject.
A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55 to 50 % or an equivalent relaxation of grade may be allowed to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently – abled).
The candidates who have qualified UGC-NET (including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/SLET/GATE/teacher fellowship holders are exempted from Ph.D. Entrance Test; however, they will be required to appear for Interview. The merit list will be prepared as per the UGC regulations.

Ph. D in Spanish/ French/ German/

Master’s Degree in a concerned subject from a recognized University (established/approved by UGC) with minimum 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade B in the UGC -7.0 scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in the respective subject. A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55 to 50 % or an equivalent relaxation of grade may be allowed to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently – abled).
The candidates who have qualified UGC-NET /SLET/GATE/teacher fellowship holders are exempted from Ph.D. Entrance Test; however, they will be required to appear for Interview. The merit list will be prepared as per the UGC regulations.

Ph.D. Economics Psychology

Master’s Degree in Economics/Psychology from a recognized University (established/ approved by UGC) with minimum 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade B in the UGC -7.0 scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in the respective subject. A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55 to 50 % or an equivalent relaxation of grade may be allowed to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently – abled).
The candidates who have qualified UGC-NET /SLET/GATE/teacher fellowship holders are exempted from Ph.D. Entrance Test; however, they will be required to appear for Interview. The merit list will be prepared as per the UGC regulations.

PhD in Physics/Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Mathematics

Master’s Degree in a concerned subject from a recognized University (established/approved by UGC) with minimum 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade B in the UGC -7.0 scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in the respective subject. A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55 to 50 % or an equivalent relaxation of grade may be allowed to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently – abled).
The candidates who have qualified UGC-NET (including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/SLET/GATE/teacher fellowship holders are exempted from Ph.D. Entrance Test; however, they will be required to appear for Interview. The merit list will be prepared as per the UGC regulations.

Candidates are required to fill the application form online through the link https://doonuniversityadm.samarth.edu.in/ available in the website of University The last date of filling online form is 15th September 2022.
Entrance Test will be conducted on 25th September 2022 (Sunday) in Doon University Campus, Mothrowala Road, Kedarpur, Dehradun.
Candidates will be required to download the admit card from the website and bring the same on the day of entrance test along with any of the Photo ID proof, such as Aadhar Card, Voter ID, Driving License etc. at the time of entrance test.
List of successful candidates in the Entrance Test will be displayed on the website and candidates will be called for an interview by the respective Departments.
Reservation will be applicable as per the State Govt. Rules.
