Important Dates:
- Last date for submission of online application forms: June 15, 2024 (Saturday)
- Conduct of Ph.D. Entrance Examination: July 14, 2024 (Sunday)
- Result of Ph.D. Entrance Examination: July 25, 2024 (Tuesday)
- Interview Schedule: August 02-03, 2024 (Friday & Saturday)
- Admission notification and deposit of admission fee: August 16, 2024 (Friday)
Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must hold a recognized Master’s Degree in the relevant stream or an allied field with at least 55% marks in aggregate or a CGPA of 5.5 on a 10-point scale.
- Valid score in CU-Ph.D. entrance test, GPAT, UGC, or CSIR-NET is required.
- For Ph.D. in English and Mass Communication, the same eligibility criteria apply as above.

Application Process:
- Candidates seeking admission to Ph.D. programs for January 2024 intake of the session 2023-24 must register and fill the application form online only from June 15, 2024, onwards by accessing the website https://www.cuchd.in.
- The information brochure cum entrance test form fee is Rs. 1,100/-, payable through Net-Banking/Debit/Credit Card after registration.
- Before applying, candidates are advised to carefully read the Ph.D. Information Brochure 2023-24.
Selection Process:
- Selection will be based on the Entrance Examination and Interview.
- The final selection will be based on the academic record and the performance of the candidates in the interview and/or test.
