CEPT University, Ahmedabad invites applications for admissions to Bachelor’s in Urban Design (BUD) for the academic year 2024-25. Procedure for Admissions to Bachelor’s in Urban Design (BUD) Program in Faculty of Planning for the Academic year 2024-25

This program gives students a professional training that equips them to work as designers of public space, and to analyze the urban environment and its systems, at multiple scales.

The program is organized in three phases: 
Foundation (Year 1), 
Exploration (Years 2-3), and 
Synthesis (Years 4-5).

In the Foundation year, students join all other undergraduates in the CEPT Foundation Program. There, they focus on developing basic representational, observational, and analytical skills. In the Exploration Phase, students build design skills through the execution of structured design methods, focusing on representation, construction & specification, and planning & organization. In the Synthesis Phase, students are expected to use the skills they have developed to address complex problems and situations, in studios, at their professional internship, or through a directed research project (DRP).

Important Dates

Seat: 40

All seats will be filled in by CEPT University (All India Category): These seats shall be filled from the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination (10+2) from the schools located in India (including Gujarat State, Diu, Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli) and have cleared the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA). Merit list for these seats shall be prepared by CEPT University based on merit.

Eligibility

Applicants should have passed in 10+2 scheme of examination from Gujarat state board or any other State boards or CBSE/CISCE/NIOS/IB, with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects. OR

Should have passed in 10+3 Diploma scheme of examination of any stream from Technical Board of Gujarat or any other state or from a college/university established under Section 3 of UGC Act 1956 with Mathematics as compulsory subject. AND

Should have qualified the National Aptitude Test in Architecture i.e. NATA shall be eligible for admission 2024-25

Admission Procedure for Bachelor’s in Urban Design (BUD) Program at the Faculty of Design for the Academic Year 2024-25

Evaluation Process: The evaluation process consists of three stages as outlined below:

Stage 1 – Eligibility Scrutiny: All received applications will undergo scrutiny to ensure compliance with the specified eligibility criteria. This step involves a thorough review of the information provided/uploaded in the application forms. Only applicants meeting the eligibility requirements and successfully passing this scrutiny will proceed to Stage 2 (Merit List).

Stage 2 – Merit List Preparation: Following the eligibility scrutiny, all eligible applications will be evaluated based on the marks obtained in the 12th HSC or equivalent examination and the UCEED Score. Candidates will be ranked and selected based on their UCEED Score.

Fees

• Tuition Fee for the Academic year 2024-25:  INR  1,60,000/- per semester. 
• Application fee for each Undergraduate application will be Rs. 1500/- (inclusive of taxes)
