Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for the CENTAC Diploma Polytechnic program are as follows:
- The candidate should have passed the 10th standard or equivalent examination with at least 35% marks.
- The candidate should have studied Mathematics and Science as compulsory subjects in the 10th standard.
- The candidate should be a citizen of India.
- For Regular Admission – For Regular admission to the First year of the 3 year Polytechnic Diploma courses, the applicants should have passed in the SSLC examination or an examination equivalent thereto acceptable by the Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
- For Lateral Entry –
For Diploma in Engineering Courses: Candidates must be passed the HSC (Academic Stream) or an examination equivalent thereto acceptable by the Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai, Tamil Nadu with Physics, Chemistry as compulsory subjects and Mathematics or Biology as one of the subjects.
For Diploma in Modern Office Practice Course: H.Sc. (Academic Stream) or an examination equivalent thereto acceptable by the Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai, Tamil Nadu with English as compulsory subject and Accountancy or Elements of Economics or Elements of Commerce as one of the subjects.
