CEETA PG 2026 Exam Dates, Application Form, Syllabus

The CEETA PG 2026 examination will be held on 10 May 2026. Its admit card has released. Common Engineering Entrance Test and Admission (CEETA-PG) will be conducted by Anna University Chennai on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu from the candidates who seek admission to M.E. / M.Tech. / M.Arch. / M.Plan. Degree Programmes for the academic year are offered at University Departments, Constituent Colleges of Anna University, Annamalai University, and Government Engineering Colleges only. A limited number of monthly Scholarships offered by the Government of Tamil Nadu are available to the students as per merit and following the reservation norms to pursue higher studies.

Government Aided Engineering Colleges and Technical Institutions funded by the Central Government affiliated with Anna University may also join in this admission process. Self-Financing Engineering Colleges may also use the CEETA-PG scores for their admission process.

COMMON ENGINEERING ENTRANCE TEST AND ADMISSIONS (CEETA-PG) for admission to M.E./ M.Tech./ M.Arch./ M.Plan. offered at
i. University Departments of Anna University, Chennai – 25, Anna University Regional
Campuses and University Colleges of Engineering.
ii. Annamalai University and
iii. Government Engineering Colleges.

for admission through centralized Single-Window online counseling.

Eligibility Criteria

(a) A pass in a recognised Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in the
relevant field and obtained atleast 50% (45% in the case of
BC, BCM, MBC, SC, SCA and ST candidates belonging to
Tamilnadu)in the qualifying degree examination.
(i) B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Arch. Degree Programmes (or)
(ii) B.Pharm. Degree Programmes (or)
(iii) Master’s Degree in the relevant branch of Science / Arts, which are prescribed.

(b) (i) 10 + 2 + AMIE* (or)
(ii) 10 + 3 years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE.*

Candidates with Section ‘A’ & ‘B’ certificates (A.M.I.E.) and other similar certificates of professional bodies viz. Aeronautical Society of India, etc., recognised by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India and enrolled before 31.5.2013 are considered to be equivalent to B.E. / B.Tech. Degree holders, only with 2 years regular full time experience in the relevant field after successful completion of the course including project work. An experience certificate shall be produced by the candidates.

GATE Candidates who seek admission under CEETA-PG should also appear for CEETAPG 2024.

CEETA PG Exam Pattern

Mode of Exam: The exam is an Offline OMR Based Test.

Parts:

• The question paper will have three parts.
• Part I and Part-II are compulsory
• Under Part III the candidates have to answer the section which has been chosen at the time of registration.
• If a candidate appears for different section, Part – III will not be evaluated.

Marking Scheme – 

• Candidates get +1, marks for correct answer.
• And negative marks is -1/3 for incorrect answers
• Marks will not be deducted for the questions left unanswered.
