About
Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is expected to conduct the BHU-LLB entrance examination in June 2022 for admissions to a 3-year law programme. With 230 seats in the BHU-LLB course, the BHU-LLB entrance exam is a paper and pen mode and can be taken in an online mode also. The pen and the paper mode of BHU-LLB are held in 45 cities while the 115 cities are hosts for the Computer-Based Testing of BHU-LLB. BHU will soon release the notification regarding the release of application forms and exam dates. Eligibility Criteria
The candidate looking forward to appearing in the BHU-LLB should have passed B.A/B.Sc/B.Com (at least 10+2+3 pattern) securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate considering all the subjects in the 3 years except those subjects where only passing marks are required and which does not contribute to the total in the final degree.
OR
- The candidate should have passed any other Degree under at least 10+2+3 pattern recognized by the Bar Council of India for the purpose of admission to the BHU LL.B course securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate considering all the subjects in the 3 years.
*As per the directive of the Bar Council of India, the candidates who have obtained 10+2 or Graduation/Post Graduation through the open Universities system directly without having any basic qualifications for prosecuting such studies are not eligible for admission in law courses.
- For the BHU-LLB aspirants belonging to the SC/ST category, there is no minimum aggregate percentage of marks in the qualifying examination except that they must have passed the qualifying examination.
- For those BHU-LLB candidates belonging to the OBC category, there will be a relaxation of 5% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination.

Application Form
The application form for the BHU-LLB will soon be available on the website and the process of filling the form will totally be online. For filling the BHU-LLB application form the students are required to provide their details such as their bio-data, filling the mandatory sections of the course, and uploading the documents are required for filling the application form.

Admission Process
- BHU-LL.B 2022 result will be declared after the exam has been conducted. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of the result. Candidates will be selected based on this merit list.
- The candidate will be informed of his/her marks, the order in the overall merit and other relevant information via mail and SMS. BHU releases the official answer key for a candidate’s ready reference.
- BHU does not provide for the re-evaluation of the result of the investigation of answer sheets under any condition. No query regarding the same shall be entertained.
- Admissions will be based solely on merit in the entrance exam.
Admit Cards
The BHU-LLB candidates who apply for entrance successfully get the BHU-LLB to admit cards a week before the examination. The admit cards are sent to the email accounts of the candidates which they used during the registration. The BHU-LLB admit card contains the details such as the venue, the time of the exam, and the details of the candidates.
Exam Centers
The BHU-LLB offline exam is conducted in 45 cities as compared to the 115 cities conducting it online. The exam timings for both the mode of exams are the same, therefore the students while applying for the BHU-LLB exam has to opt for one mode of the exam, i.e. either online or offline.
Results
The BHU-LLB 2022 results will be declared after the successful conduct of the examination, which contains the details of marks such as the sectional scores, and the overall marks that are scored by the BHU-LLB aspirant. After the declaration of the results, students who have high scores make it to the final merit list and are called for admission to the BHU-LLB 3-year programme.
Counselling
When the BHU-LLB final results and the merit list are prepared the students are called for the BHU-LLB counselling and they receive the counselling call letters from the university. In the BHU-LLB 2022 counselling, candidates have to lock the choice of college that they want, in the online counselling process, and then according to their choice and their ranks they get an opportunity for studying in the college of the choice that they lock during the BHU-LLB counselling.
