About Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) Faridkot

Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) was established in July 1998 by Punjab Act No. 18. It is named after Baba Farid, a 12th-century Punjabi Sufi saint. The University has about 920 MBBS and 1,070 BDS seats across Punjab. The university aims to open a window to the world for the health professionals, health planners, health managers, biomedical and social scientists and educators in health sciences of the country.

The university is a member of Association of Indian Universities (New Delhi), SAARC Universities, Association of Commonwealth Universities (London). The university is also included in the World Health Directory of Medical Schools.
