About
The Post Graduate Diploma (Marketing & Advertising) programme offered by the Times School of Media is a one-year programme leading to a Post Graduate Diploma.
The focus of the programme, divided in two semesters, is to provide skill-based education to students wanting to pursue a career in Advertising or Marketing Communication. The curriculum has been designed to deliver the right mix of knowledge, perspective, and skills to become a successful MarCom professional.
The program prepares students to work in five areas: Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Events and Integrated Marketing Communication. Students, who enroll in the program, are awarded the Post-graduate Diploma in Digital Media on successful completion of all courses, totaling 51 credits.

- A graduation in any discipline from recognised university with minimum 50% marks and with English as the medium of instruction

Curriculum Details
The curriculum has been made with the help of the Senior Managers of Times Internet Limited, India’s largest Internet company. The students learn to prepare presentations, create marketing collaterals, design and execute media plans, understand the dynamics of media buying, and explore the world of digital marketing. Besides this, the students are given an understanding of different advertising models, the working of an advertising agency and the basics of market research. The students are also exposed to the various communication theories expounded over the ages and they are taught to understand the overlaps between the fields of communication and marketing. In addition, they are provided a deep exposure to the world of the consumer, the driving force behind the industries under study.
The students are also taken through the rigours of Marketing Analytics, Marketing Research specifically targeted to Advertising and Public Relations. They are involved in strategizing and creating business plans, dissecting market issues, conducting multiple scenario planning, and tackling live issues head on.
