Eligibility

For BA LLB:

  • Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination from the Punjab School Education Board or any other equivalent examination recognized by Punjabi University, Patiala, with a minimum of 45% marks.
  • Applicants who have obtained their 10+2 qualification through open university systems directly, without meeting the basic qualifications for such studies, are not eligible.
  • Candidates who pass the compartment papers of the qualifying exam of 10 + 2 subsequently will not be eligible for admission, even if seats are available.

For LLM:

  • As per Punjabi University norms, a minimum of 55% marks in BA LLB (5 years) or LLB (3 years) is required for admission to the course.

AIL LET Exam Pattern

You can check the AIL LET 2024 exam pattern as per its announcement at ail.ac.in. Last year the exam pattern was as follows.

The exam pattern is as follows

  • Mode of Exam – The exam  is a Online test.
  • Question type – The questions are Objective type.
  • Number of Questions – There are 200 questions in the entrance exam.
  • Total Marks – Maximum marks in the exam is 200.
  • Exam Duration – The entrance exam is of 2 hours.
  • Language of Question Paper – The question paper is in language English.

Marking Scheme – 

  • Candidates get +1 marks for correct answer.
  • And negative marks is 0 for incorrect answers

Application Process:

Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website at https://www.ail.ac.in/.

Application Fee:

  • Application Fee: Rs. 2500/-
  • Mode of Payment: Online through Debit Card, Credit Card, or Internet Banking.

Selection Process:

  • Admission to 60 seats for wards of army personnel will be conducted through an entrance test (Online LET) administered by AIL under the aegis of AWES.
  • Admission to 04 seats in the All India Category will also be based on the same entrance test.

Exam Centres Guidelines

The exam will be conducted in the Computer-Based Test mode at around 50 test cities this year. AIL has increased the number of test centres for AIL LET 2022 from 36 to 50. Candidates appearing for the law entrance test must be careful of a few things as under: 

  • Reach the allotted exam centre at least an hour before the exam timings
  • Carry AIL LET admit card along with a valid photo ID proof – Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Passport, PAN Card, etc. 
  • Do not carry any prohibited items like mobile phones, earphones, watches, books, notes etc. 
  • Follow the instructions of the exam invigilator before, during and after the examination
