Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission to the doctoral program, you must fulfill one of the following requirements:

1. Completion of a 2-year / 4-semester Master’s degree program (following a 3-year or 4-year undergraduate degree) with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or its equivalent grade on the UGC 10-point scale (or equivalent grading system). Alternatively, possessing an equivalent degree from a foreign educational institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency recognized or authorized by a statutory authority in its home country to ensure quality and standards of educational institutions.
2. Completion of a 1-year / 2-semester Master’s degree program, subject to the same conditions as mentioned in the first requirement, along with additional coursework completion requirements.
3. Possession of a 4-year / 8-semester Bachelor’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 7.5/10 and a minimum of 3 years of work experience in the respective domain of specialization. The conditions for foreign students remain the same as mentioned in the first requirement, with additional coursework completion requirements.

Candidates belonging to reserved categories like SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled persons may be eligible for a relaxation of 5% marks.

Application Process

Admission Process

Adani University follows a two-stage admission process consisting of a written examination followed by a research presentation. The procedure is as follows:

1. Written Examination:
   • Adani University conducts the admission of doctoral students through a National Eligibility Test (NET), National Entrance Test, or any other relevant examination proposed by UGC, or Adani University Research Entrance Test (ARET), according to prevailing norms.
   • Students who qualify GATE/NET/GMAT/CSIR(JRF)/other relevant examinations specified by UGC are exempted from the Entrance Test. Candidates are responsible for submitting relevant proof of exemption.
   • Detailed syllabus for the examination is available on the university website.
2. Research Interview / Presentation:
   • After clearing the written examination, candidates undergo a research interview or presentation conducted by a committee of experts appointed by the respective head of the department under Adani University.
   • The selection process is evaluated based on a ratio of 70% for the written test and 30% for the interview.
   • Candidates must obtain a minimum of 50% overall marks to be eligible for the Research Interview / Presentation.
3. Result Declaration:
   • Adani University announces the results of the entrance test and interview within 15 days after the completion of the research presentation.

Part A

• Syllabus – General English, Current Affairs, General Knowledge, Research Methodology
• Question Pattern – 35 questions, each of 1 mark
• Total Marks – 35

Part B

• Syllabus – As per content or respective department (Syllabus available on website)
• Question Pattern – 15 questions, each of 1 mark / 10 questions, each of 2 marks
• Total Marks – 35
