Eligibility Criteria
(Tenable only at ICMR Institutes, MAX, LVPEI and TIGS)
Doctor of Medicine (D.M.) or Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch.) or Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Master of Surgery (M.S.) from a Medical College recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) (formerly known as the Medical Council of India). OR; Master’s degree in Science with a minimum of 55% marks (without rounding off) or equivalent grade for General (UR)/General-EWS and a minimum of 50% marks (without rounding off) or equivalent grade for OBC (NCL)/SC/ST, Third gender, and Persons with Disability (PwD). OR;
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree with a minimum of 55% marks (without rounding off) or equivalent grade for General (UR)/General-EWS and a minimum of 50% marks (without rounding off) or equivalent grade for OBC (NCL)/SC/ST, third gender, and Persons with Disability (PwD) from a Medical College recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) (formerly known as the Medical Council of India).
Mode of Entry
- National-level Fellowship: The applicant should possess a valid National-level Fellowship (JRF/SRF) from any funding agency such as CSIR, ICMR, UGC, DBT, DST, etc., or any other equivalent fellowship like DBT-BET, INSPIRE, RGNF, etc.
- Staff of AcSIR Affiliated Research Institutes: Project Assistants, Senior Research Fellows, and Technical Staff of ICMR and other Affiliated Research Institutes of AcSIR holding the qualifying degree are eligible to apply. A No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the current employer is mandatory.
- Industry Sponsored candidates: Endorsement (NOC) from the current employer is mandatory for Industry Sponsored candidates.

- Online Applications to the following academic programs of AcSIR can be submitted through AcSIR Online Admission Portal http://acsir.emli.in/ACSIRAdmissionPortal
- The candidates who are interested and want to apply can fill the application form through online mode.
- The applier students must enter their accurate personal & qualification details etc. while filling the application form.
- Affix the scan copy of the photograph and signature the JPG/JPEG Format.
Application Fee
- For General/OBC/EWS: Rs.1000/-
- For SC/ST/PWD: Rs.500/-
- There is no application fee submission required to apply for an Academy of Scientific & Innovative Research (ACSIR) Ph.D. Admission.
