Centre Of Biotechnology

Biotechnology Centre has been established under the Department of Agril. Botany in the year 2002 at main campus of Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola. Centre started M. Sc. and Ph.D. degree programme in the subject of Agricultural Biotechnology. With the intake capacity of 12 students for M.Sc (Agril. Biotechnology) and 3 students for Ph.D. (Agril. Biotechnology).

At present this centre follows the guidelines from ICAR and offers different courses of M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree programme in Agricultural Biotechnology, suiting to the national need in public/ private sectors.
Syllabus proposed by National Core Group, Education Division, ICAR, New Delhi has been formally accepted by the university.
