In the modern context of Information and Communication Technology, information is available to us both through print and electronic media. What one needs to know is where to search, how to evaluate and how to organise that information. This programme will introduce learners to the various areas of Library and Information Science that will help them gain knowledge about the developments in context of libraries and technologies. This will further generate employability in the academic and industrial sector. This diploma programme in Library and Information Science is the only programme presently available in the entire North East India.
