    The Times School of Marketing -TSM- was launched in September 1990 by the Times of India Group to promote excellence in marketing management and to fulfill the need for a school with a strong marketing focus.

    TSM, located in Delhi, started with offering a full time rigorous one year post- graduate diploma in marketing management. The programme designed to be a top of the line course enables students to appreciate the socio-economic and political environment, acquire the state of the art knowledge and skills in marketing and communications management supported by general management disciplines. The duration of the course has been divided into three trimesters of fourteen weeks each with four breaks of three weeks each for projects, internships.

    In order to detail theoretical learning with hands on experience, placements with reputed organisations are undertaken as part of the Programme. Two out of these four internships are specifically focussed towards publishing industry. These two internships are directed toward distribution and sales focus of Times of India and are aligned to the newspaper business. These projects aim to throw up the relevance of key management principles in real life.

    The programme compares favourably with the better MBA courses in India and comprises general management areas and incorporates larger exposure in the areas of marketing, market research , advertising, public relations by committed practitioners from leading organisations.

    The intellectual environment at TSM helps evolve the whole personality of a student by focussing on individual genius. They are sensitized not only to use their theoretical acumen but also to use their experience and inter personal skills in order to start making a contribution towards their organisations early in the career
