It is with great pride and privilege I welcome you warmly to Swami Shraddhanand College - an institution for higher education with a long and prestigious past. This college was established in 1967 to copiously cater to the education needs of students of North Delhi and adjoining areas at affordable cost and convenience. In the initial years, the college strived to its very best to impart higher education to mostly first generation students.

Swami Shraddhanand College has been re-affirming its commitment to provide quality education to the student community. The college gives students an excellent opportunity to prepare for a bright future and at the same time laying emphasis to imbibe the value system, character building, academic excellence, social and ethical responsibility and dedication to work. In a way it is aimed at strengthening mental faculty, expanding intellect and developing a mindset in order to make students capable of designing their own life plans.

Swami Sharddhanand College, a constituent College of Delhi University, is run under the trusteeship of Delhi Govt. It is a co-educational institution and imparts instructions in various subjects at both undergraduate and post-graduate levels.Situated in the sylvan ambience of North Delhi, the College has completed 46 years of its existence. From the humble beginning in the Gandhi Ashram building in Narela, the college is now one of the premier institutions of Delhi University. It is equipped with qualified teaching staff, specialized laboratories and adequate library facilities.

The college has extensive playgrounds, which provide an excellent opportunity for budding sportsmen and athletes to participate in various games and sports and to improve their skills and capabilities. Scholarship's and freeships are given to deserving students. Every year a number of prizes are awarded to students on their meritorious achievements in academic and extra-curricular activities.

The students societies / associations play a vital role in improving the academic environs of the college. For each subject, there is a society to stimulate the interest's of the students in the subject and establish its interlinking with the society at large. The socities / associations sponsor lectures, seminars, exhibitions etc., and undertake programmes and activities to make the subject more interesting and more relevant for societal need

Vision & Mission
Swami Shraddhanand College is one of the institutions of higher education in the University of Delhi located in the rural suburbs of the city. It is situated in the semi-rural ambience of North Delhi. It had a humble beginning at Gandhi Ashram building in Narela forty-six years ago. The institute has made great strides to become one of the premier institutes of the University of Delhi. The college is committed to help students become mature and responsible citizens of tomorrow. It attempts to provide an integrated and multi-disciplinary education that can help students to discover their true potential. The college has a highly qualified and dedicated teaching and nonteaching staff and is well-equipped with specialized laboratories and a spacious and well-stocked library. It has always been an endeavor of the college administration and teaching faculty to introduce new technologies to its students. The college is fully computerized and also integrated with the University of Delhi Library Systems. The college has an extensive lush green playground which provides an excellent opportunity for sports persons and athletes to practice and improve their skills and capabilities. Scholarships are provided to the minority students and freeships are given to students from economically weaker sections. Every year a number of prizes are awarded to meritorious students for their extraordinary achievements in academic and extra-curricular activities.
