List of facilities available at Sriram Institute of Maritime Studies SIMS, New Delhi for students.
A proper swimming pool with an attached changing room and showers is provided to students in campus only. Swimming is carried out on a daily basis and the student normally do away with water phobia. The swimming is conducted by Ex-Naval diving coach in the proper swimming costumes and manner. A changing room with toilets and shower is used prior to enter in the pool.
As it is said a library is the blood of an institute special attention has been given on library and books. It is specious and capable of accommodating all cadets and ratings at a time in two separate areas. The library has News papers, Magazines and syllabus books and normally visited by the students in the evening hours only.
A big Sports ground is marked for sports and games for the students. Volley Ball, Football, Bad Minton etc. courts are provided and same are largely utilized by the students.
Indoor games, recreation rooms and a big assembly hall are provided to students for their recreational, entertainment and awareness of day to day events as these are fitted with LCDs an Airtel DTH connection.
Good transportation facilities for its students, staff members and visiting guests.
Accommodation to the Pre Sea Course students is provided with in the campus. Separate hostels are available for the officers and Rating courses in different location within the campus. The hostels are very well equipped with ultra modern facilities. All students are provided with study materials, the books, registers and other navigation equipments, good quality Linen is issued to the courses participants. The teachers maintain a high standard of discipline amongst the students.

The istitue has proper system of operating boats in the water, proper lowering hoisting and working with the boat work exist with in the campus. Students are familirzised during the course schedules.
Well equipped classrooms. Laboratories, workshops etc. with well experienced teaching staff who are the assets of our institute. The classrooms are equipped with projectors and associated fittings. Also the classrooms have models, photos and ACs are installed for summers. The labs are also well equipped as per the norms and directive of the DG Shipping and University. The trainees are able to meet the course objectives on completion of their courses. These cadets and GP Ratings are able to carry out wedding, cutting, carpentry, small electrical and plumbing repairs. The cadets are given special training on steering simulators, chart work and hygraulic and pneumatic assignments.
