We believe that our vision of Innovating Fashion Business is going to guide us into the coming years when innovation will be pivotal in creating sustainable competitive advantage. Web enabled executive development programmes, executive development programmes in the middle east, setting up specialised research areas are some of the innovative ideas being taken up for implementation.
The department is focusing on strengthening management and technology orientation in addition to its proven competencies in Marketing and Merchandising. The interactive relationship with the industry will be the winning edge. It is our desire that the export and the domestic sectors, which do not normally share the experiences and expertise, now come together to make use of the opportunities under WTO regime.
Enabling companies to promote brands within India and abroad, helping exporters to strengthen supply chain management and retailers their value delivery systems initiating "Fashion Avenues" in every major cities are some exciting visions for the future.
