Post Graduate Programme in Thermal Power Technology (PGPTPT) - The thermal power plant comprises two gas turbines. Each of these is connected to a designated generator for electricity generation and each has a section for recycling flue gas heat. In addition, a steam turbine with generator has been installed. The high temperature energy extracted from the flue gas will be used for pre-heating crude oil which will be further processed at the refinery, and for production of high pressure steam which is used as an energy carrier at the Mongstad processing facilities.The thermal power plant comprises two gas turbines.
