Post Graduate Diploma in Forest Genetics, Tree Improvement and Biotechnology

Post Graduate Diploma in Forest Genetics, Tree Improvement and Biotechnology - Tree Improvement and Genetic Resources came into existence during November, 1987 with the re-organization of the departments under the College of Forestry, although M.Sc. (Forestry) was started in 1976 with specialization in forest genetics and tree improvement. The department looks after the genetics improvement research in Himalayan hardwoods and softwoods along with introduction and testing of exotic germplasm of forest trees. The department offers M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree programs in the subject.
