OMD M. Plan Architectural Conservation - Architecture conservation refers to the process of conserving the heritage monuments and buildings with the help of modern architectural methodologies. All around the world there are numerous heritage buildings which were build many centuries ago and since then are bearing the brunt of erratic atmospheric conditions, climate change, pollution, wear and tear etc. Thus it becomes very essential that these possessions of our ancestors should be well taken care of and focus should be laid on their conservation. The post graduate course in Architectural Conservation is designed specifically to save our architectural masterpieces from all odds. The course involves studies on planning, management plans, creation of law and policies to prevent the loss of heritage monuments with the use of science, modern technology and art. Though it is a multidisciplinary program designed to provide students with broad knowledge of techniques and skills required to conserve the heritage monuments as well as to manage the same. The research based course structure allows students to acquaint themselves with the real life working conditions.
