Diploma Welding Engineering & Technology (DWET) - The welding industry is rapidly changing. Advancing welding technology and changing technical standards are creating a need for trained welding specialists. The Welding Engineering Technology program graduates meet this growing need. As a specialist on the engineering team, the technologist not only understands the welding processes used in metal fabrication, but is also trained in quality control, welding metallurgy, codes, fabrication techniques, inspection, drafting, weld design, management/supervision and computer skills. Practical welding skills are also developed to gain an in-depth understanding of welding processes.
