Diploma in Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) - There is an acute need to help them get back to their jobs quickly and efficiently. Rehabilitation and disability professionals facilitate this process in a way that addresses each person’s unique needs with respect, dignity, compassion, and professionalism.Rehabilitation is a dynamic process designed to restore loss of function, independence, or role following the onset of a significant disability, incarceration, or recovery from addictive behaviours. Rehabilitation is a philosophy and approach rather than a discipline. In fact, rehabilitation is generally provided by a multidisciplinary team which may include physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, counsellors, case-managers, vocational evaluators and advisors, placement specialists, and others.
