Training includes instruction in food science, culinary skills, nutrition and kitchen operations. Offered at the certificate, associate's degree or bachelor's degree level, formal programs are available at community colleges, vocational institutions and private cooking schools.culinary arts can typically be completed within one year and prepares graduates for entry-level culinary work. This type of program usually has no prerequisite requirements for admission.
