Diploma Banking Laws & Loan Management (DBLLM) - The banking Banking Laws & Loan Management aims to raise the voting rights of investors in private sector banks to 26%, from 10%. The bill allows RBI to supersede boards of private sector banks and increase the cap on voting rights of private investors in PSBs to 10% from 1%. RBI would regulate the banking sector; the competition commission of India (CCI) would look into competitive practices in the banking sector. The bill allows increased voting right to private sector investors in the banking sectors. This in turn will encourage foreign investments in the sectors since the bill allows increased participation of foreign investors in the Indian banking space. It is aimed at achieving financial inclusion by opening new banks.
