Eligiblity:

12th Pass - total Average mark is 40% plus 40% in English separate either in 10th or 12th.

Saloon staffs are responsible for good housekeeping and providing tasty and Hygienic food for personnel on board. A competent person can rise to the level of Chief Cook cum catering Officer along with this he can undertake the ships accounts if qualification permits. Indian Seafarers are well recognized for their competence in both Indian and Foreign based shipping companies, and they have wide – range of opportunities in foreign shipping industry. In order to further strengthen Indian participation, Ministry of shipping, Government of India, have introduced new measures to assist Indian Seafarers through effective training as per IMO Standards.
