B.E Metallurgy - Metallurgy is a domain of materials science that studies the physical and chemical behavior of metallic elements, their intermetallic compounds, and their mixtures, which are called alloys. It is also the technology of metals: the way in which science is applied to their practical use. Metallurgy is distinguished from the craft of metalworking.Metallurgical Engineering majors study the properties of metals, learn how to design metal parts and solve problems concerning manufacturing.Students also learn how to test different metals to find out how well they stand up to stress, environmental changes, and other conditions.Metallurgists are in charge of handling the minerals and developing new alloys. They also develop new methods for processing different kinds of metals.
