10+2 pass from a Recognised Board with 50% marks from any stream.

Course Details:

The Bachelor of Design educates students to have a voice in the development of a sustainable world. The program provides students with experiences in using established and emerging technologies in a collaborative atmosphere, where integration is perceived as the driver for responsible and innovative design.

The Bachelor of Design (B.Des), is a four years Undergraduate Academic Degree Course in the field of Design in India. The study is designed to provides candidates with experience in using established and emerging technology with the integrated creation of innovated designs. One can choose the specialisation of B.Des such as Accessory Design, Architecture, Ceramic Design, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Interior Design, Leather Design, Textile Design, Multimedia Design, etc.

The study is suitable for those candidates to want to make their passion as the profession or for such individual who aspire to unfold their talent and get recognized for it.The Designing is the core requirement for the visually rich world. As consumers we all like to buy things that have aesthetic value, the service of skilled people is required.

The Bachelor's study provide technical support to candidates for developing technical thinking and skills in the field like Construction Techniques and Materials, Product Development, Research Skill for Fashion, Experimental Practical etc.

The study is focused on theoretical and practical aspects of Postgraduate Designing course such as Design (Introduction), Visual Design (Principles & Applications), Ergonomics Design Method, Graphic Design.

The Designing study requires 4 years of the time period with an internship in India, It’s a Full Time professional degree course. The course is available for part-time correspondence and under distance education mode as it's a practical based study.

Eligibility

The candidates should have passed Higher Secondary (10+2), from any stream or equivalent examination, after that candidate with minimum aggregate 45% marks, such candidates are eligible to take admission in Bachelor's Designing study program. Some entrance examination are also conducted by National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT).

Further Studies

After the successful completion of this course, candidates can also pursue the higher studies and do Master of Design (M.Des), Ph.D and specialization research-oriented course in their respective field.

The Bachelor’s Professional Degree holder have an excellent career opportunities in various creative and technical fields one can work as, Teacher, Professor, Lecturer, Instructor, or Demonstrator in Designing Institutions and Colleges, and also work as Graphic Designer, Fashion Stylist, Design Manager, Outside Sales Representative, Fashion Forecasters, Fashion Merchandisers, etc.
