P.G DIPLOMA COURSE IN COMPUTER APPLICATION APPLICATION Application for admission can be had from the office of Madurai Institute of Social Sciences, Alagar Kovil Road, Madurai - 2 on payment of Rs. 100/- in person or Rs. 130/- by post. ELIGIBILITY Candidates shall be required to have qualified for Bachelor's Degree of this University or any other university recognised by Madurai Kamaraj University. SCHEME OF EDUCATION The P.G.D.C.A is a one year Regular Course/Non Semester The traning programme for the profession of counselling has four facets. Class room instruction Practicals in Computer Lab Special Lectures Seminars CLASS INSTRUCTION Subjects of Study : Fundamentals of Computers COBOL and Data Processing Software Engineering Object Oriented Programming with C++ Client/Server computing with Oracle 7 Windows and visual basic Information Technology PRACTICALS Computer programming Lab I (COBOL and C++ Programming) Computer programming Lab II(Oracle and Visual Basic) FEE PARTICULARS The fees for the course is Rs. 9200/- In addition to this the refundable caution deposit of Rs. 500/- is to be paid at the time of admission. HOSTEL Hostel accommodation is available for men students only. Guidance will be provided to women students to get accommodation in the apprived hostel.
