The Project / dissertation should run 25 pages excluding bibliography.
Each student has to select a project work / dissertation in consultation with his Guide and Head of the Department.
The Project work / dissertation should be submitted to the controller of Examinations through the H.C.D. before the commencement of the terminal exams.
Each student has to submit two copies of his / her project or dissertation for valuation.
In case any student fails to score the minimum required marks for pass in the Project report / dissertation, he / she shall be permitted to submit project with in 6 months after the publication of results.
M..Sc., Physics candidates who have passed in the evaluation of Project work will have to face the Viva - Voce examination. It carries 200 marks, which will be shared by the guide and the external examination 100 each.
A candidate shall be eligible to receive the Degree when he has completed the Course of study under Part I, II, III & IV as specified in the course scheme. He / She also has to complete at least two certificate courses.
Submission of Application Forms:
All the filled up Application Forms should be submitted to the principal along with the necessary certificates below:(Xerox Copies Only)
HSC Mark Sheet
Transfer Certificate from the institution last studied.
Community Certificate if admission is sought against community quota.
Certificate for admission under Ex-serviceman quota/ Physically Handicapped quota.
Eligibility Certificate obtained from Madurai Kamaraj University (applicable to students belonging to Universities other than Madurai Kamaraj University).
Admission is subject to verification of Marks Certificate by the Director of Government Examination and if the mark certificate is found to be bogus, admission is liable for cancellation besides Criminal action being taken (Proceeding of the Commissioner of Collegiate Education, Madras-6, RC.No. 13680 p4/94 dated 21-3-95)
Candidates are asked not to send their Original Certificate along with their applications.
On Production of the Valid Community Certificate (issued by the State Government) the SC/ST students will be issued Application Form free of cost.
