MASTER OF COMPUTER APPLICATIONS Today, more avenues are developing in the IT field. The man power demands are increasing day-by-day. Hence, students should develop technological knowledge to suit the need.Master of Computer Applications approved by AICTE is one of the prestigious courses offered in our college . This course with an intake of 60 Seats was introduced in the year 1994 , under the University of Madras.The MCA Programme aims at grooming students towards becoming excellent software professionals.This course has been marching ahead successfully under the Periyar university since the year 1997. DURATION The M.C.A Programme is a three-year course, spread over a period of Six Semesters which enables the candidates to get familiarity in atleast four latest programming languages and a larger number of applications. ELIGIBILITY Any degree with study of Mathematics at +2 level AIMCET / TANCET The well equipped computer centre having more than 100 nodes with internet and multimedia facilities , functions in the built in area of 189 sq.mt. There are separate labs for the P.G Students. More than 100 students can well be accommodated in these labs Sengunthar Information Technology Association (SITA) conducts a state Level Inter-Collegiate Programme named BIOS every year on 24th September to improve the organizational skills of the students
