In the era of LPG ( Liberalization,Privatisation,Globalisation) where competition is multifolded in all directions ,boom in IT & ITES sectors takes Indian Economy from Agricultural based to service based.In this context it is the prime role of every B school in India to develop siblings as competent business executives by imparting value based education.
Being situated in sylvan surroundings and equipped with well-stocked library,advanced computer laboratory and sophisticated language lab, SIMS provides a vast scope for individual and intellectual development of the future managers and entrepreneurs. It deploys experiential methods of learning such as simulation models, management games, role play and case study. "Thrust areas" of instructional content are supplemented by the visiting faculty and Guest lecturers.
SENGUNTHAR ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE has been offering its flagship course MBA under SIMS since 1996 with the aim of improving managerial skill and core competency of students from various disciplines. The course is a two year programme having four semesters with specializations in Marketing, Systems, Production, Finance, Human Resources and International Business Management
Statistical Application to Business Research
In the academic year, 2001-2002, Sengunthar Institute of Management Studies, Tiruchengode organized a workshop on “Application of Statistical tools to Business Research” from 05-12-2001 to 08-12-2001; in the academic year 2002-2003, from 09-12-2002 to 13-12-2002; in the academic year 2003-2004, from 18-11-2003 to 22-11-2003. All our staff members and a number of management teachers from other affiliated colleges participated in the workshop. Dr. D. Nagabrahmam, Director, T.A.PAI, Management Institute, Manipal inaugurated the workshop on 18-11-03 and addressed the management teachers and students.
