B.Tech Information Technology Department of Information Technolgoy Information Technology has ushered in a new epoch of prosperity, quality and modernity in the life of mankind. The IT department established in the academic year 2000-2001 has grown into a gigantic stature and eminence by way of producing IT professionals of eminence and excellence who fit into the existing global market as balls in holes. Moulding the rough stones into ornamental diamonds is the primary motive of the excellent and meritorious IT faculty with its sound and strong infrastructure such as its laboratories and advanced systems. Each student is motivated to focus on a novel area to bring out his/her potential under the supervision of teachers. It is the constant effort of the department to be in touch with changing needs of the IT industry so as to respond in terms of modifications to adapt to these technological changes. Faculty The department has highly qualified and experienced faculty members with specialization in various fields like Computer Application, Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering. Infrastructure Laboratories The departments have excellent infrastructure available for use by the students. It is the endeavour of the management to periodically migrate to the latest software and hardware to keep pace with the ever changing needs of the industry, so that our students come out with knowledge of latest technology in both software and hardware. The department places emphasis on WAP, Web Technology, Component based Technology, Network architecture, Mobile Computing, .Net, Software Architecture, Software metrics, Quality of Service (QoS) and several other emergent areas. Facilities The Computer laboratory consists of 100 systems and high-end IBM servers Interconnected with LAN of 256 Kbps speed earth station round the clock Operating Systems environments are Windows 2003 Server Windows 2000 Server Red Hat Linux 9.0 Fedora Core 3.0 Software's available include all the latest software to meet the educational, training, practical, research and application needs.
