The department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in the year 2007.The department aims at technical and professional competency and also aids in inculcating moral and ethical values. The alacrity of the students to learn makes it easier for the department of computer science and engineering to produce top-notch engineers who are being recruited by companies all over the world. Mission: The mission of the department is to create a centre of excellence for budding professionals so as to equip them with strong fundamental concepts, programming and problem solving skills with an exposure to emerging technologies by providing hands-on experience; Also to inculcate in them values, and Leadership qualities with a zeal to Serve Society and to Bridge the Digital Divide. Department Objectives Excel in all aspects of academic research and produce a high quality science based professionals and enhance their general skills in logical and analytical understanding. To provide the students with ability to perform analysis , specification, design and implementation of quality computer solutions To provide opportunities to gain practical experience in computer technologies , using the latest and modern software and hardware. To instill within the students the technical, communicative and character skills that will prepare them not just for technical roles but for leadership roles as well To assist the students in their career placements by setting up multiple on campus placements. About HOD The department is headed by an experienced Associate Professor, with 7 years of teaching experience. She served the organization and strived to accomplish the cherished goals of the organization. Students And faculty: The department has around 450 students and about 28 erudite staff who teach how to think rather what to think. The students are not only trained in academic excellence but are also encouraged to acquire industry exposure through in-plant training sessions to be in the vanguard of pioneering dexterity .The learning atmosphere being more practical oriented makes the transition from an educational institution to an industry effortless. The department conducts colloquiums where the students have the chance to hear from and interact with famous individuals who have excelled in the field of computer science and technology .Our illustrious and recognized faculty members, a brilliant student community, exceptional technical & supporting staff and proficient management have all added to status of the department. Industrial connection The CSE Department works closely with several related industries of repute. These relationships facilitate joint research, funded projects, and the opportunity to learn the latest technologies. Experts from industries and leading institutions are invited every fortnight for technical lectures under the association activities. The department Corporate Advisory Board includes senior executives from various companies.. Students are sent on industrial visits to companies and they also undergo in-plant training at industries.
