B.Sc Electronic Science - Basaveshwar Science College

DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRONICS Department of Electronics was established in the year 1985-86 being a part of the Physics Department. to impart basic science to the students of rural backward areas of this region UGC has funded Rs.37.5 Lack for the modernization of then existing Electronics Laboratory in the year 1994. In the same year department got grant in aid, and bifurcated from Physics Department and established as independent department. UGC sponsored University Level 3 day Seminar on “Recent Trends in Communication Technology” and 7 days workshop on “Microprocessors and Applications” were held in the year 1996 and 1997 respectively. Department is striving to impart the knowledge of Electronics at UG level. The department has well furnished laboratory and advanced equipments with internet facilities at the under graduate level. The teaching faculty consists of 03 staff imparting the knowledge of Electronics imbibing modern developments and techniques. Guest lectures, seminars, workshops etc by prominent scholars are conducted as a part of curriculum
