B.Sc Computer Science Mathematics,Physics, Visual Programming, Software Testing, Client / Server Computing Non-major Elective - Business & Office Applications (Theory & Practical) Eligibility - A pass in HSC Computer Science compulsory The Department of Computer Science The Department of Computer Science Was started in 1986 with vision to prepare young women for the opportunites in the field of computers. The curriculum of this course is designed to give strong forundation in all technical aspects of computers and its application. Apart from making them good IT professionals, the department takes care to instill strong moral values into each individuals. The Departments of Computer Science and Computer Applications organized a lecture on “Open Source” for their students by Mrs.Hanna Vijayakumar from Anna Adarsh College and Mrs.V.Janaki from Kanayaka Parameshwari College for Women. Students benefited greatly from this lecture. The Department also invited several resource persons from IT companies to make presentations to make the knowledge of students more industry oriented. Besides taking part in intra-collegiate competitions like Debugging, Web Designing, Paper presentation organized by the departments, students also participated in inter-collegiate competitions and won laurels for the institution. In both “Jack of All Trades” and “Zap IT” competitions conducted by M.O.P. Vaishnav College, our students bagged the 1 st prizes.
