B.Sc chemistry ( Eligibility: A candidate who has passed in Higher Secondary Examination with chemistry) as one of the subject under HSC board of examination, TamilNadu as per norms set by the Goverment of TamilNadu or an examination accepted as equivalent thereto by the syndicate shell be permitted to appear and qualify for the Bachelor of Chemistry Degree Duration : Three Academic Year (with six semesters) The department was freshly bloomed with under graduate course- B.Sc., Chemistry 2008 – 2009 .The department of chemistry is fully equipped with the state of science laboratories. Along with the academic activities the students are encouraged to participate in intercollege competitions and extra curricular activities. Industrial visits are arranged to the students to improve their practical and analytical skills. Department’s Association- “CHEMSPARK”. Student’s capacities are improved to face the campus interviews boldly. Our students are representing Periyar University in many events of sports. Students have participated and won many medals in university level, State level and National level tournaments. ur faculties have supported to run many govt of tamilnadu sponsored programmes in the college like young students scientist program, creation of scientific awareness program for school students ,SHG members and farmers.
