INFORMATION AND TECHNOLOGY
The Department of Information Technology was formed with the basic objective of providing skill-based education in the field of information technology. Right from its inception, the department has been offering well built infrastructure facilities with different computer platforms to educate and train professional students to meet the incessant demands of the IT industry.
The Department Strives to produce eminent professionals tuned to the real time working environment. To fulfill this objective, the Software, Hardware and the curriculum are updated regularly. The department offers a competent academic environment with a team of well qualified faculty that ensures the students to excel in their technical exposure. The strength of the department relies on the efficient students who are made aware of the increasing demands of the industry and shape their skills accordingly. The Internet and the various lab facilities are made available to the students. .
Objective

Admission:
Eligiblity for B.E / B.Tech
The admission to B.E / B.Tech courses is made through 'Single window' system by Anna University and against lapsed seats NRI quota by the college. Pass in Maths, Physics + Chemistry (combined) at 10+2 level examinations of TamilNadu Board of Education equivalent with minimum marks as per community.

Eligiblity for M.E:
Candidates who has passed all the subject in the qualifying degree (B.E/B.Tech) Examinations. GATE/TANCET/All India Entrance test
Eligiblity for MCA:
Any Degree with core mathematics either at +2 level or mathematics/ statistics as one of the subjects at degree level TANCET/consortium /All India Entrance test is must.
Eligiblity for MBA:
Pass in any degree with TANCET/CONSORTIUM/All India Entrance test.
Selection Process:
Selection will be based on the performance in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in the qualifying examination of TamilNadu Professional by Anna University. No age limit is for joining this course.
The eligibility admission to 5 years integrated postgraduate courses requires a pass in 10+2 level examination with mathematics / business mathematics as one of the subjects. No age limit is for joining this course. The college makes direct admission examination.
The eligibility for Direct Admission to second year of B.E / B.Tech course is 3 years diploma course in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology, Mechanical , electrical , electronic & instrumentation, civil etc. conducted by Tamil Nadu Stat Board of Technical Education or equivalent recognized by the board in pre-final and final semester is as per communities reservation.
Selection will be based on the performance in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in the qualifying examination of TamilNadu Professional by Anna University. No age limit is for joining this course.
The eligibility for Direct Admission to second year of B.E / B.Tech course is 3 years B.Sc course in any recognized institutions with mathematics as a subject
Admission against lapsed seats is made directly by the college after the completion of admission process by the Anna University. Certificates and Demand Draft for the fees shall be submitted to the Principal for consideration and grant of admission. The eligibility for admission remains same as enumerated in preceding paragraphs.
