Future Scope : Information Technology (IT), as defined by the Information Technology Association of America (ITAA), is “The study, design, development, implementation, support or management of computer based information systems, particularly software applications and computer hardware”. Information Technology deals with the use of electronic computers and computer software to convert, store, protect, process, transmit, and securely retrieve information. Information Technology is a general term that describes any technology that helps to produce, manipulate, store, communicate, and/or disseminate information. Information Technology professionals perform a variety of duties that range from installing applications to designing complex computer networks and information databases. They are suited for data management, networking, engineering computer hardware, database and software design, as well as the management and administration of entire systems. About Department : The department is equipped with a rich and modern computing infrastructure and has well qualified and experienced faculty. The computer centre and various other labs of the department are all connected in a LAN which is a part of the campus wide network. Multiple network operating systems along with various software packages are available on the LAN. The department provides wide exposure to the students in keeping up with the fast changing scenario both in computer software and hardware. Equipped with the latest development tools, the department also undertakes industry and research oriented projects giving the students very valuable experience and exposure. Information Technology is the assortment of Software and Hardware. It stands as an expert of new Technology.
