    Electronics & Communication Engineering

    The department of Electronics & Communication Engineering is poised to offer specialised training through electives in areas of communication engineering, VLSI, VHDL, Image Processing, DSP, Embedded Technologies, etc. Although the foregoing technologies are beyond the University syllabus requirements, yet required laboratories have been estabilished.
    The department of Electronics & Communication Engineering is accredited with NBA certification.

    Electronics Circuits Lab :

    Electronics circuits lab has been furnished with digital IC trainer kits, PLL trainer kits, etc. Large number of oscillators, function generator, power supply units, etc. offer adequate experimentation opportunity. Similar to Electronics circuit lab, Microprocessor lab is provided with adequate number of 8085 and 8086 microprocessor kits with power supply units, LCD display, assembler and dis-assembler, interfacing catd, key board display, FDC controller, real time clock with the interface, temperature control, etc.

    Communication Lab :

    The communication lab is provided with mixer circuits, transmitter and receiver kits, etc. The lab is equipped with 'dish antenna', yagi antenna, etc. for providing detailed and in depth knowledge of communication system. The lab is also equipped with TV demonstration kit, VCR demonstration kit, etc.
    The students belonging to ECE discipline are encouraged to take up projects appearing in various journals to give them an insight into the ongoing technological advancements. The department is in the process of putting up a 'Project Centre', which will afford our students an opportunity to do some original thinking and develop new circuits. The energetic faculty members of this department take students to local industrial tours in addition to all India educational industrial tour

    Admission:

    Eligiblity for B.E / B.Tech

    The admission to B.E / B.Tech courses is made through 'Single window' system by Anna University and against lapsed seats NRI quota by the college. Pass in Maths, Physics + Chemistry (combined) at 10+2 level examinations of TamilNadu Board of Education equivalent with minimum marks as per community.

    Eligiblity for M.E:

    Candidates who has passed all the subject in the qualifying degree (B.E/B.Tech) Examinations. GATE/TANCET/All India Entrance test

    Eligiblity for MCA:
    Any Degree with core mathematics either at +2 level or mathematics/ statistics as one of the subjects at degree level TANCET/consortium /All India Entrance test is must.

    Eligiblity for MBA:

    Pass in any degree with TANCET/CONSORTIUM/All India Entrance test.

    Selection Process:

    Selection will be based on the performance in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in the qualifying examination of TamilNadu Professional by Anna University. No age limit is for joining this course.
    The eligibility admission to 5 years integrated postgraduate courses requires a pass in 10+2 level examination with mathematics / business mathematics as one of the subjects. No age limit is for joining this course. The college makes direct admission examination.

    The eligibility for Direct Admission to second year of B.E / B.Tech course is 3 years diploma course in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology, Mechanical , electrical , electronic & instrumentation, civil etc. conducted by Tamil Nadu Stat Board of Technical Education or equivalent recognized by the board in pre-final and final semester is as per communities reservation.
    Selection will be based on the performance in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in the qualifying examination of TamilNadu Professional by Anna University. No age limit is for joining this course.
    The eligibility for Direct Admission to second year of B.E / B.Tech course is 3 years B.Sc course in any recognized institutions with mathematics as a subject

    Admission against lapsed seats is made directly by the college after the completion of admission process by the Anna University. Certificates and Demand Draft for the fees shall be submitted to the Principal for consideration and grant of admission. The eligibility for admission remains same as enumerated in preceding paragraphs.
