The Course:
The department offers a four-year undergraduate program BE in ECE. The department has also plans to introduce an MTech program in Signal Processing. Both these programs are approved by VTU and updated by the University once in four years to meet the needs of the Industry. The curriculum meets the needs of both core competence as well as courses like C programming, Data Structures, operating system to assist the students for placement the IT industry. Augmentation courses and bridge courses are also offered to students. Workshops are conducted to impart special training to students.
Faculty Development:
The department is headed by Dr.T.V.Rama Murthy who is well known to the academic community of VTU as well as to the practicing Engineers in Aerospace Electronics. He is guiding faculty for their PhD programs. Faculty have registered for Ph D and they are contributing to the research flavor of the department. Staff members are contributing research articles at National and International levels. The department has organized a National Level Sponsored seminar. There is constant industry institute interaction resulting in periodic seminars by eminent Scientists.
