About Programme BBA(B& I)
Bachelor of Business Administration (Banking and Insurance) is a three-year-full time programme of the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University to groom globally competitive high quality professionals through intensive training and to sharpen skills in business administration with the aid of upgraded curriculum in banking and Insurance sectors. After graduation, the student can opt for higher education like MBA (B&I) started by G.G.S.I.P. University from 2006-2007 or go for employment in field of banking, insurance, financial services, stock exchanges, share markets, mutual funds, IT industry and FMGC industry. There is a lot of scope for self employment as service provider.
Objective
The main objective of running this course is to produce highly competent managers for the industry ready to compete at all levels. Our aim is to provide students as insight into career openings and enlighten them about Item alive options. We make them technology savvy in order to enable them to respond effectively to emerging circumstances.
Summer Training & Project Report
Practical aspects like Training and Development and preparation of Project Reports are the essential requirements of every management student irrespective of the specialization they opt for. Our BBA(B&I) – IV Semester students undergo summer training in various organisations such as Punjab National Bank, ICICI Bank, Aviva Life Insurance Company Ltd., New Delhi Insurance Company Ltd., Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance Company Ltd. and other major companies from banking and insurance sectors. The main objective of summer training is to provide the students proper industry exposure in various disciplines of management in accordance with the interest of students. They take this assignment during the summer vacation after IVth semester in the months of June and July of every academic year and the summer training report is evaluated in the Vth semester. Apart from summer training report, students are required to work on two project reports, namely Minor Project Report & (Major) Project Report, which would be evaluated in the IIIrd and VIth semesters respectively.
