DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE The prestigious Department of Commerce was started in our college during the year 1971and our college was the first women’s college affiliated to the University of Madras to start the B.Com course. Our department is recognized for part-time Ph.D programme and there are two eligible guides for Part-time Ph.D. Dr. Sugandha Kannan, the Head, presented 6 papers on different topics. Dr.(Mrs.)Amutha presented 7 papers. Dr.(Mrs.) Anbu Chellarani presented a paper in a National seminar.
