    Kanchipuram is not only renowned for temples and sarees but also for the Kanchi Shri Krishna College of Arts & Science , Kilambi. This college is not only meant for Education but also for other admirable qualities like respect, obedience and modesty.
    Kanchi Shri Krishna College of Arts & Science was started in the year 1994. It was developed by the hard work of the institution. However it came under the approval of the University of Madras in 1995. At first the students were taught the language only. To improve knowledge in the subject of English the B.A. English Literature course was introduced in the year 2004.
    There are four teaching staff members appointed for teaching work. There are four students in this Department of English. This course helps the students in many ways. The students are not only talented in Education, but also interested in other activities like sports, cultural programmes, NSS and extra curricular activities. The students won so many prizes in the competitions in the year 2007. Even though they are small in number, the activities of the students are commendable.
    The Department of English has a separate Communicative Lab. Through this Lab the students learnt a pronunciation method and fluence in Communication Skills. The students also participated in the seminars in 2004. Because they know education instills confidence. It is akin to insight. There is no doubt in affirming that the English Department will open new vistas and create a spirit of self – reliance and liberty.
